We embrace diversity.

We ask all participants to respect one another, and we will not tolerate harassment of conference participants in any form. Harassment includes offensive verbal comments related to gender, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, religion, sexual images in public spaces, deliberate intimidation, stalking, following, harassing photography or recording, sustained disruption of talks or other events, inappropriate physical contact, and unwelcome sexual attention. Participants asked to stop any harassing behavior are expected to comply immediately.
We reserve the right to warn or expel offenders from the event without a right of refund, and they will not be able to attend any future MagmaConf related events in any way.

Please contact a staff member in case you are being harassed, or are concerned about anything that might be related to this subject.

Conference staff will be happy to help participants contact hotel/venue security or local law enforcement, provide escorts, or otherwise assist those experiencing harassment to feel safe for the duration of the conference. We value your attendance.

On this edition, the venue of MagmaConf will be the “Centro de Tecnología Educativa Universidad de Colima Campus El Naranjo”. The auditorium offers a comfortable and fresh ambient to enjoy every talk and do networking during coffee breaks. When daily sessions end, we will be ready to hit the beach to live the whole MagmaConf Experience.

What activities are there?

After the conferences are done for the day, the MagmaVillage is where it’s all at. Enjoy a traditional dinner party, where there may be some mariachi music, outdoor games, hang out with other attendees, take a swim in a pool or the warm ocean, or join the acoustic impromptu MagmaBand. You’ll wish you had more time to spend there!

A unique alternative to a traditional hotel, MagmaVillage offers attendees the opportunity to continue learning from each other even after talks have finished for the day.
Part of the exclusive Santiago Beach Club, MagmaVillage is located on the best beach in Manzanillo. Relax on the sand after a long day of talks, or dip your toes in the balmy Mexican ocean.
